Boise: Valentines for AIDS
Annual: Opens first Thursday of February
Established in 1995. Silent auction of donated Valentine's to raise funds for the Idaho
AIDS Foundation.
Well known area artists and celebrities donate self-created Valentine's.
As of 1999, has raised over $45,000 for the Idaho AIDS Foundation.
Free admission to general public.

Moscow: Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival
Annual: last full weekend of February
Established in 1968. Series of concerts, clinics and educational competitions.
Known throughout the world for its blend of jazz education and entertainment,
this 4-day juried annual event takes place on the University of Idaho campus.
It began as a small band competition and now has grown to attract 15,000
music students and jazz fans. A limited number of vendors
specializing in musical instruments and education contract with the University each year.
Concert tickets are $5 to $28.
